VENDORS TEAM UP TO SUPPORT 2008 FALL CLASSIC
The Rogue Regency Inn has been named Fall Classic Official Host Hotel and heads a list of vendors lining up in support of RVC's 2008 Fall Classic All Chevy Car And Truck Show.
"Getting a partner like Rogue Regency to step up with special Fall Classic room rates is huge for us," says Fall Classic Co-Chair Dave Stickland. "We have numerous Chevy owners who come in from out of town for the Fall Classic and now they can get great room rates at one of Medford's premier hotels."
Rogue Regency has it all for Fall Classic attendees -- great rooms, a nice restaurant, a wonderful night club, secured parking and even a shuttle that will run between the hotel and Airport Chevrolet, site of the 2008 Fall Classic.
"We wanted to get a host hotel this year and we couldn't be happier than we are with Rogue Regency -- it has everything we need," Stickland added.
In addition to the special room rates for attendees and RVC members, Rogue Regency has discounted one of their nicest suites for a Fall Classic Friday Night Meet and Greet. "It will be great having a room where RVC members and Chevy owners from out of town can get together the night before the show," Stickland said.

Four other vendors have partnered with Fall Classic 08 as well. The Old Farmhouse Restaurants of White City and Medford will again provide early morning coffee and sweets at the Fall Classic. "Greg is so giving of his time and energy," Stickland said. "We couldn't be as successful as we are without The Old Farmhouse being there for us."
Adam's Car Care Products will return to the Fall Classic with more car care demonstrations and special show prices on their full line of car care products. "We're excited to be involved in the Fall Classic again this year," says Co-Owner Justin Duncan. "We have a great relationship with RVC and the Fall Classic is a way for us to help the club make a difference in our communities."
Island Deli Broasters Express of Central Point will provide a wide assortment of food and refreshments for lunch at the Fall Classic. Their menu includes Teriyaki chicken, steaks, hotdogs, burgers, seafood, salads and real-fruit smoothies. Owners Dale and Irene Kelly are familiar faces to Southern Oregon car show attendees.
And Sun Scape Window Tinting of Medford has joined the list of Fall Classic 08 supporters. "These folks do a great job with not only window tint, but with a film-like product that protects paint," says Stickland. "They'll demonstrate their products and have special Fall Classic prices -- we're glad to have them on board," he added.
"All of our vendors, combined with our partnership with Airport Chevrolet, will help us put on the best Fall Classic yet," said Fall Classic Co-Chair Dan Richards. "With our move to a great dealership like Airport and the support from our other vendors, we'll be able to put on a great show for Chevy owners up and down the West Coast."
The Third Annual Fall Classic All Chevy Car And Truck Show is September 20th at Airport Chevrolet in Medford.

RVC GROWS TO 80 MEMBERS
Rogue Valley Corvettes, in only its third year of "Camaraderie, Corvettes and Community", has grown to 80 members with the recent addition of seven new Corvette enthusiasts.
Art and Grace Peary of Grants Pass, Jerry Kreiner of Central Point, Bob and Frankie Phillips, also of Central Point, along with Chris and Eva Andersen of Jacksonville helped push RVC to the 80 mark.
"Reaching 80 members is certainly a milestone," says RVC Vice President Dan Richards. "But it's really about adding like-minded Corvette enthusiasts to our ranks. We don't want to add members just for the sake of adding members -- we want folks who drive their cars, enjoy interaction with other Corvette enthusiasts and people who will help us in our efforts to give back to our communities."
Art and Grace own a 40th Anniversary Ruby Red convertible and, apparently, Art has already teamed up with Disco Bob Kush when our troops went to Newport. Jerry owns a purple '96 coupe and he is a pleasure to talk with. Bob and Frankie have a 50th Anniversary model coupe and have belonged to many Corvette clubs over the years. Chris and Eva have a '73 coupe and a torch red '02 coupe -- the couple has attended many RVC events and many of us have known them for years.
"We're not just getting bigger," says Richards. "We're getting better. We're adding fun people, people who have a long, rich Corvette-enthusiast history, and we're adding folks who are excited about helping us make a difference."
SHOW SEASON KICKED OFF AT EPHS
Rogue Valley Corvettes kicked off the 2008 car show season with another great turnout at Eagle Point High School's Thomas Ussary Memorial Car Show on April 26th.
With 19 RVC cars in attendance, RVC won the Club Participation Trophy for the third consecutive year and helped the high school raise $3900 for its Skills USA Program.
"This was the first-ever show RVC attended three years ago when we started the club, and this is always a great way to get the show season started," said RVC President Jim Pack. "We have a great relationship with Eagle Point High and the students do an outstanding job of putting on their show. We're always excited to attend it."
Great spring weather helped bring out a tremendous field of competitors. Steve and Marion Schneider's 1960 aqua roadster won Best Corvette and many other RVC members walked away with hardware.

Patrick’s Creek & Bridgeview Winery
This cruise was all about camaraderie between members and guests. Sometimes the weather, people, and cars just come together and everything turns out fun. The west side group met up in Central Point at 9:30 a.m. to meet up with the east side group by 10:00 a.m. in Grants Pass. For any of you that have done this, you know that with all the chatting going on we usually are running a few minutes late and Sunday was no exception.
The group consisted of 23 members and 4 guests and we did make it to Patrick’s Creek, just a bit after 11:30, to consume their wonderful brunch and enjoy a view of the creek. The weather was supposed to be cloudy with a few showers but while we were eating the sun came out and somehow the cars started feeling the need for their tops to be either removed or put down. It is a known fact (per Karen Roeber) that it must be at least 60o before that can happen. This definitely made the run back to Cave Junction a lot of fun.
Once in Cave Junction we turned onto Hwy 46 and headed out to Bridgeview Winery. It’s only 4 miles from the junction and well worth the trip, even in the winter. The grapevines are still mostly sleeping but in a few weeks that will change. They have a fairly large pond with ducks, trout, and swans that are always hungry. Bruce Tozer and Art Peary couldn’t resist feeding them and what a treat that was. The fish were swarming and jumping and the swans were pecking at them to get to the food first. As for us, the wine tasting was great and we managed to stow bottles and cases in the trunks for the trip home.
We returned to Cave Junction where some members had to be refreshed with ice cream, others to Taylor’s for a look through their meat selections, and others hit the road for home. Another great cruise with great people.
