Time flies.
For someone who was involved in the very first discussions about forming a new Corvette club here in Southern Oregon, I can hardly believe it’s been over seven years since Rogue Valley Corvettes was formed in early 2006. Some of you undoubtedly remember those early brain-storming sessions – others of you joined RVC since then.
We have made wonderful memories with endearing friends. We have reached beyond our circle of Corvette enthusiasts and made friends with others in and out of the car culture. We have driven, and waved, and eaten, and danced our way all over the Northwest, and beyond to Laguna Seca and Bowling Green. We have smiled and laughed and cried together. It has been quite a ride.
Rogue Valley Corvettes recently presented a $2000 check to the Eagle Point High School Skills USA officers.
For seven years RVC has supported Skills USA at EPHS. RVC also sponsors Skills USA at North Valley High School in Merlin. Over the years, RVC has raised nearly $40,000 for Skills USA. Primarily used for travel expenses to state, regional and national competitions, the funds have translated into more than $500,000 in college scholarships for local Skills USA students.the rest of the story....
Corvette Family Reunion Shines at Rod and Custom Show
Rogue Valley Corvettes held a Corvette ‘Family Reunion’ at the 36th Annual Southern Oregon Rod and Custom Show at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.
All seven generations of America’s Sports Car were represented by RVC. Dan and Cyndi Richards’ 1962 represented Corvette’s first generation. Kent and Barbara Colahan’s 1964 showcased the second generation Corvette. Paula and Harold Thies’ silver 1968 showed the third generation. Roger and Pat Puhl’s 1993 40th Anniversary Edition shined as the fourth generation of Corvette. Joe and Pat Gran’s 50th Anniversary 2003 showed off the C5. Greg Danner’s 2010 represented Corvette’s sixth generation.the rest of the story...
