SPUR OF THE MOMENT ICE CREAM CRUISE DRAWS 10 CARS

PACK SCREAMS, THE CLUB SCREAMS, WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAME

An April Sunday afternoon that tops out above 70-degrees can mean only two things -- another Corvette Summer is just around the corner and RVC members don't need much of an excuse to get the cars out of the garage.

What started off as a Dessert Run,turned into a 10-car spur-of-the-moment Ice Cream Cruise to the Central Point Sonic Drive-In on Sunday, April 5th.

"The weather was great and the Eagle Point contingent of RVC decided a run to Sonic was in order," said Dessert Cruise Captain Dan Richards.  "I thought to myself, self, I bet there  are others who would like some ice cream to top off a beautiful weekend.  After a few emails and phone calls, we had 10 cars and 20 people show up -- it was great."

Steve Hunter and Madelon Cahill, Jim and Marilyn Pack, Dave and Karen Roeber, Werner and Terri Kraatz, Dave Stickland and Helen Jacobson, Tony and Diane Wiggins, Bob and Donalyn Cambas, Dave and Linda Guches, and Ron and Diana Seering joined Richards and his next door neighbor, Bill Proud, at Sonic.

Once the ice cream, milkshakes, malts, sundaes, and other frozen confections were consumed, the 10 cars cruised through downtown Central Point and into downtown Medford before splitting up for their individual trips back home.

The Ice Cream Cruise was not without incident, however, as Linda Gutches fell and broke her wrist as the group was gathering to order dessert.

We all wish Linda a speedy recovery
