12/5/2009CHRISTMAS PARADE - GRANTS PASS - DECEMBER 5, 2009

Eight cars braved the 28-degree weather to participate in the parade this year, and all eight proved the theme that "it's a wonderful life". No one complained (much) and we had hot cider and cappuccinos plus lots of cookies to keep us warm.
Participating were the Chamberlains (thanks for leading the Medford cars in - now you are "pros" so we'll use you again) Tozers, (complete with a Christmas tree atop their car); Bucchinos (with racing lights that changed color and aluminum wreath wheels, plus the "key" on the back like a big wind-up toy); Kraatzs, Westbys, Archers, Carnegies and Lori Hale (going "topless" again, in spite of a new top) with her friend, Sandra who was in charge of keeping the "Peppermint Twist" clown singing. All cars participated with garlands and lights.
Afterwards, 10 of us went to dinner at Si Casa Flores, and others went on their way. We were entertained prior to the parade with a preview of the "Nutcracker", as that float was next to us, and the little "mice" were doing their dance to the Nutcracker music (to keep warm I am sure). It was lots of fun and set off the holiday season to see people jammed along the parade route 3 and 4 deep.
What a great way to start the Holiday Season.
