RVC Celebrates 4th Of July!
Rogue Valley Corvettes helped Southern Oregon celebrate America’s birthday at the Central Point 4th of July Parade with 15 beautifully decorated cars.
RVC cars met early at Scenic Middle School, then proceeded over to the parade staging area at Crater High School to decorate the cars. Pat and Roger Puhl provided some morning refreshments, and members had an opportunity to view the rest of the parade entrants.
Covered in red, white and blue, and flying more American flags than a Marine battalion, RVC was one of the parade’s grandest entries. On this, America’s 238th birthday, RVC celebrated by transporting more than a handful of children along the parade route. Two lovely young ladies — daughters of the Puhls — proceeded the RVC cars and carried one of our club banners to better identify RVC to the (literally) thousands of men, women and children lining the streets. This is a 4th of July Parade to rival most.
After the parade, RVC members returned to Scenic Middle School, pulled their decorations, and Tony Wiggins led us out to Shady Cove for Mexican food on the river at Miguel’s.
There’s nothing much more patriotic than helping America celebrate her birthday — especially from inside one of her Sports Cars. If you’ve not done a 4th of July Parade with RVC, get that on your calendar for next year.
Happy Birthday America!
