Skills USA Students Appreciate RVC Generosity

Dump 118

Two recent Eagle Point High School graduates — both in the EPHS Skills USA program — earned RVC Scholarships and each took the time to thank us personally for the club’s generosity.

“Dear Rogue Valley Corvettes,” wrote one student. “I want to personally thank-you for giving me a scholarship to help me further my education in Fire Science at Chemeketa Community College. I am completely grateful for your generosity, and I am excited to begin my dream of becoming a fire fighter. Sincerely, Nicholas”

“Without people like you, kids like me don’t get to college …” — Fiona Nevin

Another EPHS graduate wrote, “Dear Rogue Valley Corvettes, My name is Fiona Nevin — I am 17 and attending OSU in the fall. I would like to start by thanking you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful  generosity. Without people like you, kids like me don’t get to college. Some of the activities I am involved in are 4-H, FFA, Skills USA, Writer’s Club, Honor Society and more. I am so excited to start my next adventure at OSU this fall, although I am still not sure what I am going to major in. I am leaning toward a major in Communications, with a minor in Education, and an International degree. Thank you so much again for your support. I can’t tell you how much it means to me or what an impact you have made in my life by helping me fund my education. And I love looking at your cars at the EPHS Car Show! — Fiona Nevin.”
